LGBT HISTORY MONTH DOUBLE FEATURE

SUNDAY 10TH FEBRUARY - 11.30AM to 2.30PM

In celebration of LGBT History Month 2019, Curzon Goldsmiths is incredibly excited to bring a fantastic double-bill to our screen.

Daisy Asquith's Queerama highlights the representation of gay men and women in the media throughout the twentieth century. Weaving in the music of John Grant, Goldfrapp and Hercules & Love Affair, Asquith guides us through queer relationships, desires, fears and expressions against a backdrop of incredible change.

Queerama will be followed by a true modern queer classic: John Cameron Mitchell's subversive, colourful, punky tour-de-force Hedwig and the Angry Inch. Hedwig - a transgender punk-rock girl from East Berlin - tours the U.S. with her band as she tells her life story and follows the former lover/band-mate who stole her songs.
